Scarborough Crossroads

Scarborough Crossroads is a meeting place for local volunteer
groups interested in contributing to the town.
Scarborough Crossroads welcomes new members, both
individuals and local non-profit and not for profit organizations. We
offer Web hosting and a number of other member services, including our
Members Only page where one can find training information.
Scarborough Public Library

For over one hundred years the library has served as the common
ground and heart of the community. A new library building, located in
the central Oak Hill area, opened in 1990 after a successful
community-wide fundraising drive.
The library collection of print and audiovisual materials exceeds
62,821 titles and 77,685 items. Over 174,102 items circulated in
FY2002-03. The library has 7,913 registered users and an average 2000
visitors a week pass through the library doors to use various library
resources and services. 8,974 users took advantage of library public
access computers to search the Internet. A staff of 19 delivers
quality library and information services.

located in southern Maine, approximately 7 miles south of the City of
Portland. It is just a short drive to Portland and the Maine Mall with
easy access to the Maine Turnpike, Portland Jetport and now passenger rail
service to Boston and points south. Scarborough is a diverse community
with a commitment to the quality of life and the environment.

The Scarborough Economic Development Corporation
(SEDCO) is a quasi-municipal non-profit development corporation
providing site location, business and economic development,
demographic information, financial assistance programs, and government
liaison services for businesses seeking to create a new business
opportunity or expand an existing one. |
