Scarborough Land Conservation Trust

About Us - Introduction

The Scarborough Land Conservation Trust has always had a dedicated board of trustees that give generously of their time and talents. But it is only with the support of members, contributors and volunteers that land conservation is possible. SLCT members are those who have contributed to our membership drive which supports the general work of the organization. Others have supported us by contributing to our annual appeal or special appeal campaigns to fund land acquisition. And still others support us by giving of their time on the numerous trail and stewardship activities.

Becoming a Scarborough Land Conservation Trust member is one way you can help promote conservation in Scarborough. As a member, your tangible benefits include newsletters and invitations to forums and special events. Your intangible benefits include protecting land and contributing to the preservation of a valued quality of life.

Board meetings are held monthly. Meeting locations vary. One can visit our "Get Involved" page in order to get in touch with the Land Trust for more specific information.

Beyond Scarborough, SLCT supports land conservation in Maine and nationally through affiliations with: Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Eastern Trail Alliance, Land Trust Alliance (national) (www.lta.org) and the East Coast Greenway Alliance (www.greenway.org).
