Evan Richert, Director of the Maine State Planning Office

and his presentation of

"The Great American Neighborhood"

Evan Richert will be discussing the Maine State Planning Office's initiative called the Great American Neighborhood. This initiative is intended to encourage the creation and restoration of traditional neighborhoods typical of New England villages rather than the typical sprawl of suburban subdivision. The initiative includes the development and release of both a Design Guide for homebuyers, homebuilders, and developers and a Municipal Handbook for Maine communities that wish to ensure that local ordinances encourage this type of traditional development. We hope you�ll join us to find out more about the Great American Neighborhood.
