Girls Senior League SoftballScarborough Little League Home Scarborough Little League offers a full range of instructional and competitive softball for girls age 8-16 years old (as of July 31st). Girls Softball is divided into 4 leagues: Farm League (ages 8-12), Little League (ages 9-12), Junior League (ages 13-14), and Senior League (ages 14-16). Play begins in April and ends in mid-June. Post season tournaments are held for all-stars in all leagues except the Farm League. Scarborough Little League Softball is designed and managed to allow all young women the opportunity to learn, play, and enjoy the exciting sport of softball in a supportive and challenging environment. We are always looking for new coaches, especially females, and would enjoy discussing the program with any interested parents. We offer coaching clinics and attempt to develop coaches over a period of years as their daughters progress through the Leagues. Girls’ Senior League Softball Senior League Softball is a highly competitive, travel softball league for
girls who will be 14-16 years old on July 31st. Practices begin in
mid-April, play begins at the end of April and ends in mid-June. Teams play
against Senior league teams from surrounding towns as well as other Senior League Softball is played on a regulation softball field: 60 ft. base paths and 40 ft. pitching rubber. We use fields at the High School, the Middle School, Peterson, and Springbrook. About ½ of games are played at fields in nearby towns. Schedules are designed to avoid conflicting with school sports. An all-star team is selected from eligible players for post-season tournament play from the end of June to late July depending on the team’s success. All-star play begins with a local tournament and may progress as far as the Senior League Softball National World Series in early August.
