The Friends of the Scarborough Library is a civic-minded organization committed to increasing the public's awareness of the many benefits the Library offers Scarborough's growing community. Governed by a Board of Directors, the Friends work in partnership with the Board of Trustees and the professional Library staff to insure superior service and the opportunity for life-long learning.

Through membership fees and fundraising efforts, the Friends contribute financial support to help the Library in its mission to bring exceptional service to the community. Funds given by the Friends also sponsor programs and services that reflect the Library's commitment to community outreach.
