- Divert runoff around the top of the beach and into a vegetated
buffer
- Build terraces across beach using timbers or other degradable
materials
- Reduce beach area by planting a vegetated buffer

- Broaden the ditch, if possible, to spread out the flow
- Use stone check dams on steep ditches
- Armor the ditch with rip rap or line the ditch with erosion control
blankets to help protect against scouring

- Install timbers across path to divert runoff into a vegetated buffer
- Place crushed stone or bark mulch on the path
- Rebuild the path to include meanders across the slope rather than
straight down the slope
